The cottage is located overlooking a peaceful Mahone Bay cove on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Here are a few helpful distances for you:
- Upper Tantallon 44 km (gas, big box groceries, lots of restaurants, all amenities)
- Mahone Bay 40 km (the cutest little seaside village to get out and explore)
- Lunenburg 50 km (the UNESCO World Heritage Town - gotta get there for a full day)
- Halifax 55 km (gas, big box groceries, unreal restaurants, all amenities)

Like a wandering traveller with no set agenda, we took the long and scenic road to get here.
We started Sleepyhouse not because there is a need in the market (although we firmly believe there is), but because we needed to do it. For ourselves.
As a family, we have travelled the world, we have experienced the sincere welcome of global hospitality, and we have had the great fortune to make so many great friends on our stops along the way. We have been lucky, and we want to pay the travelling universe back.
Our passion for great travel experiences has always been met with an equal devotion to running a great business. Now with an older family and firmly planted roots, we are finally able to combine our two great passions.
There is nowhere in the world we would rather play the role of hosts than beautiful Atlantic Canada.
